I use Cygwin as my default terminal in Windows. Here are some notes for setting it up.
After installing cygwin copy the
file to the
cygwin64 install folder. This will allow you to
install packages from within cygwin itself more easily. I'm of the opinion
that comand-line package installation is not very friendly, and github is
littered with attempts at creating a package manager. So I've come up with
a pretty decent compromise that opens the package management (read:
installation) window and allows you to install/remove things without too
Simply add the following to your
alias pkg='/cygdrive/c/cygwin64/setup-x86_64.exe -B -M -n'
